From the moment I met Katie & Alex, I knew theirs would be a dream wedding to photograph!! Not only are they an amazingly loving couple, who also love Jesus, but the locations they chose to host their event are also meaningful to me, and I was sure I’d see many familiar faces there to celebrate their big day. September 13th could not have been a more gorgeous fall day to tie the knot; we were truly blessed by warmth and sunshine! After their ceremony at Crosspoint Church in Oconomowoc, Wi, we headed to the bandshell on Lac La Belle. Katie and Alex met and began dating in Madison while working at the Wisconsin State Capital, so we thought it fitting that the flag be included in some of the editorial shots. From there we headed to Nashotah Park for some rustic-romantic photos, and then the bridal party boarded a pontoon boat, making their grand entrance to the Golden Mast by way of Okauchee Lake. I was in heaven with the whimsical, vintagey, blush-colored decor, and I could not believe that they had planned their wedding within the span of 3 months!! Guests enjoyed a scrumptious meal, lots of camaraderie, and dancing late into the night with the newlyweds!! Enjoy my *many* favorite photographs from their incredible wedding day!!
