Elizabeth + Derek are college sweethearts who connected over their love of the outdoors and country living. They were in total agreement that they wanted their wedding to reflect their combined passion for nature and had rustic, earthy elements woven into every carefully-planned detail of the day. The antler + olive branch monogramed invitations, paired with romantic and classic fonts, set the tone for guests, who even got to take lush succulents in vintage-looking containers home with them as party favors. In keeping with the classy-vintage-organic theme, Elizabeth chose a two-piece wedding gown with a romantic flowy skirt and lace 3/4 sleeve top from Bliss Bridal in Brookfield, Wi. As you will notice, halfway through our editorial photo shoot on her family’s stunning farm in the Holy Hill area, Elizabeth surprised Derek with a quick change into a dazzling strapless top for their party! Derek had his own tributes to his love of the woods and hunting, in his wooden bow tie and cuff links, as well as the antlers that decorated the cocktail lounge at Chenequa Country Club (tied in from their monogram). In fact, when I asked the couple the most memorable moment of their wedding day, their answer was when they walked into the reception room at Chenequa CC (which boasts of vaulted wooden ceilings, a large colonial style chandelier, and a field stone fireplace, perfectly suited for their rustic-chic event), and seeing how Elizabeth Neupauer of Evenement Planning & their florist Esther had worked together to bring the space to life with tons of stunning greenery and lots of romantic, organic candlelight! The look on Elizabeth’s face, which you will see in a photo below, says it all… Complete awe and delight, giddiness, if you will…

And truly, it could not have been a more beautiful day for this deserving, fun-loving couple. Elizabeth & Derek are the sweetest, most perfect pair, and their wedding party, family, and friends were filled with kindness, joy, enthusiasm, and love for them and supportiveness for their union!
