Since the moment I met Rae for coffee to chat about her & Josh’s wedding day plans and dreams, I knew we would be a great fit! With R+J’s genuine passion for caring for and serving people, their common faith, laid-back, joy-filled personalities, and the beautiful, rural, rustic-chic location at which they chose to have their wedding, I felt like I’d been given such a gift to be able to capture their love! Our bond was solidified during their engagement session, when we adventured together along the Lake Michigan coast, balancing and jumping from massive rock to rock, just to get the perfect shots. On their incredible wedding day, R+J had no less joy, peace, or adventurous hearts. The Landing 1841 in Burlington, Wisconsin, did not disappoint this country-loving photographer… Nestled peacefully on a hill above the White River, combining the perfect blend of modern updates and comforts with delightful vintage touches, The Landing provided all of the serene spaces and relaxed atmosphere a bride and groom could want for their wedding day and guests, including a quaint farmhouse to get ready in, river views, rustic barn + fence backdrops, and a beautiful vineyard “ripe”
